Expert profile

I am a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon and specialist knee surgeon at York Hospital, dual fellowship-trained in soft tissue knee surgery and lower limb arthroplasty at Wrightington Hospital. I lead the elective knee team, and my practice covers the whole knee, from sports injuries and ligament reconstruction to osteotomy and knee replacement. I also take part in the consultant trauma rota, with acute knee and fracture clinics, so I see knee injuries from the day they happen to the end of treatment.

I have prepared medico-legal reports since 2019 and have completed over 750 reports in personal injury and clinical negligence claims. I have attended court as an expert witness. I hold the Cardiff University and Bond Solon Civil Expert Certificate and have completed Bond Solon's Clinical Negligence Essentials course. My reports are independent, balanced and evidence-based, written in plain English and in accordance with CPR Part 35 and its Practice Direction.
